It's such a shame that we are constantly sterilizing our food, through pesticides and even FoodIrradiation? because our immune systems need exercise. It's not the bacteria in our diet that's making us sick, it's the lack of it that is preventing us from being defensive of "bad" bacteria, or pathogens.
Not only do we loose an opportunity for building immunity, but also, we loose the benefits of probacteria when we sterilize our food. Our body relies on huge colonies of bacteria for digestion and many other things [this is begging for expansion].
Eating raw organic foods is a great way to ensure you get your daily dose of bacteria. Don't cook the life out of your food if you are going to cook (see CookingTheLifeOutOfFoods?).
Yes, there are some bateria that can cause severe food poisoning (please feel free to publish info on this). But do we really have to always Fight Bac?
Note: The G-Spot will always use sanitary techniques to ensure that we are able to continue serving people (we don't want trouble from the Health Inspector), but that doesn't mean we never "get dirty" in our own kitchens.
